Don Kirshner, known as The Man With the Golden Ear, is best known for managing successful pop groups  as The Monkees and The Archies. US Calendar Records was founded in 1968 and changed name to Kirshner the next year. Until 1977, it's products were licensed to RCA and CBS in the UK.
