The record label of the German BASF chemical group.  BASF records first appeared in Germany in the 1930s.  During the 1950s the company concentrated mainly on Jazz and Classical music. In the U.S.A., the label seems to have operated from 1973 to 1976 from offices in Bedford, Massachusetts.
