Grand Award Records founded by Enoch Light
(performer and creator of the LP gatefold sleeve) and George Schwager in 1955.
In October 1959, Grand Award and its 4 subsidiaries; Audition, Colortone, Command and Waldorf Music Hall, were purchased by Am-Par - owner of ABC-Paramount Records.
Founder Enoch Light left the ABC umbrella label in 1966 to form Project 3 Records.
