Roulette Records was founded in 1957 by George Goldner, Joe Kolsky, Morris Levy and Phil Khals. Creative control was given to producers/songwriters Hugo Peretti and Luigi Creatore (later founders of Avco Records in 1969). Levy was appointed as director. Later in 1957 Goldner sold his interest in Roulette and his Tico, Rama and Gee record labels to Morris Levy to cover his gambling debts. Goldner then founded two new labels - Gone Records and End Records.

Golden Goodies Hit Series releases were also issued with rather plain labels for Gee, Rama and Paris labels, the original artwork is missing.  At some point Roulette stopped issuing Gee, Rama and Paris GG labels, and carried the entire reissue series later on under the Roulette label umbrella. The R 1 and R 2 sleeves (see below) were probably used.
The singles previously released as GG Rama, Gee or Paris were later issued on the Roulette label.
